SoundPaste

SoundPaste is another excellent tool for those who have faced difficulties with sampling various audio sources (e.g., YouTube videos in a browser) on macOS. The utility that makes the process easier is available on the App Store. It is worth 9,99 USD (899 RUB) for lifetime updates.

However, there are a few free alternatives that accomplish the same thing, albeit less conveniently.

Previously, I used Black Hole as the only solution that is available for Apple Silicon processors these days. This is a ‘virtual cable’ or an audio loopback driver similar to the obsolete SoundFlower that can record the audio output but requires some technical experience in setup. The worst thing is that Black Hole uses the MacBook speakers to output the signal that you wish to record.

To be honest, I never utilized the Chrome extension “Sample” that I discovered.

Happy sampling, y’all!
